I can definitely sense the melancholy mood while listening to this piece. I love the instrument you used here!

While listening, I can imagine a village of people feeling so sad about something... but then realize that what happened to them doesn't mean the end.

Hmm. I think the ending is a bit abrupt. What you could do is hold that last note a little longer and have it fade out. :) Other than that, this is really good!

CGA-999 responds:

Thank you! I honestly never thought of that fade effect! Good idea!

:D Oh, this is beautiful... Lovely strings and piano! This is a really nice composition. I hear nothing out of place, so you did a great job here my friend!

CGA-999 responds:

Thank you!

Oh this must have been a lot of fun for everyone! All singers were on pitch, and the harmonies sounded great! (Oh, and the speaker at the beginning, that amused me a little.)

Great mixing Step.

I had fun listening to this. Right now, I'm listening to the Acapella version, realizing just how great the group's singing is.

Step responds:

Yep, we had some really talented singers on-board! That speaker at the beginning is SonicWombat. He hid the "I LOVE THIS SONG" audio in one of the vocal harmony files rather than his main vocal, so I didn't notice it at first, and when I went to play the song for the first time with his vocals, I heard that out of nowhere and burst out laughing. Had to keep it in there.

Glad you like the mixing too! Took a lot of work. Thanks for reviewing yet again :3.

Well this one's interesting. At first it sounded like something out of a video game, and then the track morphed into something R&B. I liked the overall atmospheric elements into this, along with the beat. I love that sliding high pitched synth a lot. That sounded really good...

The only downside was how abruptly it just cut off. I'd advise you figure out how to end this better. Maybe something to echo off or fade out. Other than that, lengthen it if necessary. This track could use a bit more work I think. :)

Pandasticality responds:

thanks for the tips, i might work on this again really soon.

This is quite good, at such excellent high quality too! I love that glitchy beat and that drone synth. The more Christmasy elements... While listening pictured people in cyberpunk attire getting into th spirit. It's an unusual track, but I like it a lot.

I agree with some of the others; make a longer version of this. :D

Yeah, I'm reviewing months after December, but this is what happens when I fall behind on listening to the tunes of other musicians to do a lot of writing!

Pandasticality responds:

im glad this turned out the way it did, having a cyberpunk-ish vibe combined with xmassy stuff, i love to challenge myself with unusual combos.
thanks for the review.

I'm just blown away by this massive collab. This is so much talent showcased into one track. Everyone did so well! It's all so varied and interesting to pick up through the headphones.

This is so unique and beautiful. The title seems to fit. While I was listening, I could picture water running over rocks in a stream. There's something about this piece that's peaceful fantasy-esque, combined with science fiction--a very interesting mesh of the two. I pictured these robots near this river in a forest around mythical creatures, the robots themselves from a place far away and unlike anything they've ever witnessed.

The harp in this is so lovely. It takes a composer with a great ear to arrange it so it's not drowned out by the other instruments. Everything comes together so brilliantly well.

All I could say is that I'm glad you think so. My joy in writing any music is to pass on my therapeutic dreams to another. I like your description. "Unlike anything they've ever witnessed," --something I long for

I love Tron!! The first one is notably one of my favorite movies of all time. The title to this is what lead me to discovering this wonderful, wonderful cinematic.

The strings along with the electronic arps, wow. It's so enjoyable to listen to. I'm so impressed by what you did here. Now I am curious to see what your other tracks sound like.

Phonometrologist responds:

Thank you for the kind words. I'm shamefully haven't seen the first one, but I've been meaning to for quite a while now. Glad you stumbled upon this one.

You put great deal of swagger into this one! That drum beat is so good, and the way you arranged the bells to it, so cool! I'm feeling nostalgic now, because for me this reminds me of how new age jazzy cool the music was on this radio station I loved that played a whole lot of instrumentals with keyboard stuff in there. (I miss that station, and it's a shame my old audio cassette tapes of what I recorded from it are all worn out! Though, in a good way, I could get inspired to remix what I remember of my favorite tunes.)

Y'know, I can imagine robots getting their groove on to this. Humans, too. They could dance together and show off their flashy moves.

VideoGameManiac responds:

Uuuh thats great. I also listened to old spacey tunes when I was a kid. My father had tons of cassettes xd. And my goal with this project is to make everyone happy and ready to dance! So Im glad you enjoyed it! :D

I love the soft beats here. I also enjoy how all mellow and pretty it sounds. The entire rhythm has a really nice bouncy flow that doesn't falter. Beautiful piano melodies, and that sweeping strings synth pad is lovely. This has been a great start into your music journey of this year! :D

VideoGameManiac responds:

Thanks!
