Foxglove (Exotic and Deadly)

Check it out whenever you all are up to it! In the description under the track player, I say plenty. This was pretty cool to make. I'm quite pleased that I've composed this to reflect on what I looked up about the foxglove plant from last week and today.

This new track has to be a sign. It's a sign that means I should make more episodes to this YouTube series I started, called "Plant Love". Although I'm kind of failing to keep the foxglove I have healthy and growing straight and tall, hopefully it will mature okay when it's time for it to mature and release its seeds. I really hope so! I've seen a bunch of pictures of foxgloves. OMG they are all gorgeous!!

I really, really want to upload this epic Darius Twin remix for you all to hear. It's just that the final revisions are taking a while to accomplish. It's tricky, and frustrating. I need to turn up the volume some in a couple of places, and there's this one teeny bass part I feel is a little out of place. I'm being a litte picky about that and want to fix it. For the most part I love how this is.

By this upcoming week, it should be finally finished.

Sigh.  It's been a month and two weeks so far! This track has been so challenging and tough because I've created and edited more of my own samples; some beats I made from scratch, all the synths, a bit of voice work, and a bit of FX. They're all awesome, and I've put sooooo much brain power into the project!

I'm close to finishing the composition. After that, I'll be headphones testing on the volume levels.

Remixes for me take a lot of time and effort. It's been at least a month already since I first started the project, and so far everything I've planned for this has managed to fit!

I even have an idea to create a video version of this later, for my YouTube channel.

This week I took some time off to try and get some story writing out of my system. By Wednesday, I hope to get back to getting this remix done!

I'm feeling so PUMPED and psyched that I want to write an update on here! I should catch up with favorite music artists around NG soon, as well as on Sound Cloud. I'm so overdue for just setting time aside to listen to some tunes... I've been sucked into writing my fan fiction and reading other people's fan fiction, along with some role-play writing with friends (at Dreamwidth) on the side! ^^;;

I'm not quite there to finishing this remix, but so far it's been amazing progress!! I really like the beats and synths I've been coming up with so far. I've recorded some speaking parts too, some of them by yours truly. LexaHergon, one of my buddies on here and Skype, inspired me a little for an extra speaker part I hadn't thought of. Hey, it turns out it works. Thanks! 

For the intro... In the Darius Twin game I remember playing so much on the Super Nintendo, there's this alarm sound that goes off, followed by a message on the screen just before the boss ship arrives. I'm inserting something like that. :D 

Darius Twin does have some good music tracks to go with the challenging side-scrolling in the spaceship battle game. (Search for "Darius Twin OST" on YouTube! It's all there!) 

I know there's one other Darius Twin remix idea I'll want to do, something that came to me out of nowhere. As I first heard this play in my head, I thought, "Oh my God... YES!" This other idea I really love and will try my hardest to accomplish will blow us all away, I know it.

It's a blast when it comes to experimenting. Putting in my own spin when it comes to remixes. I'm on a roll, and looking forward to figuring out what original melodies and basslines (and more beats) of awesomeness I can come up with.

It'll be at least a month until this Boss Theme remix is all done. This week, I've been in the process of getting all I want in variations of the main melodies. I know I want 2 to 3 variations of that. Piece by piece, I managed to get one of them done today! After I get all that done--or at least half done--I'll come up with more original material to mix in.

Sometime last year, I was messing around while jamming on the Waspy LE VST I've got. I played the Darius Twin Boss melody half a step down-pitched from the original notes. In tweaking the options and stuff I created a really nice synth in doing so. That really fun and most excellent jam session first gave me inspiration to want to do this remix project. (YEP, the synth I've played with is going in there! *beaming with excitement*)

Sometime soon, not only will I do a new podcast and embed it from my YouTube channel onto here. I'll be sure to check out the new music from those around here who I know are amazing.

I've been busy TRYING to get back into fanfic writing. (When it's really cold outside where I work, it gets hard, ugh. I am so done with winter now.) Also, fun writing roleplay stuff on Dreamwidth has been taking up a lot of my time too. If you send me PMs and respond to these posts, I reply to them. I figure I'd better mention that, in case you guys and gals hadn't already realized.

That, and the Sonic.exe track is finally all done, pretty much. I think there's still a bit of volume issues to fix, but for the most part, it's great--and badass! And creepy too, of course...

I honestly don't know if I'll get the Christmas Medley done by the end of this month, though I'll still try! If it's done late, then oh well. It just takes time for me to really get into a track and make it sound awesome.

I've got up to 3 different music projects in progress. I'm focused the most on "Sonic.exe Comes Out to Play". I'm sure most of you heard how creepy the spoken line is.

As a whole so far, it's just bad ass! There's definitely something metal to this, and I've been doing things I haven't done before, and I think you'll be amazed of this track once it's all done! I'm excited about this one, ohhh yes.

At home, since Christmas is just around the corner, I'm doing a Christmas Medley! I got a good start on it, with pretty bell samples and a kalimbah... I hope to combine at least two songs into one, and do my own take on traditional ones. That should be fun! I do hope I get this done before New Year's.

Of course, there's my Carcassonne song too, or as Abra and I have joked, Carcassonng. XD I'm not giving up on this! It's just such a challenge and a lot of work. This one, without a doubt, has been my toughest project yet. And I thought Mortal Kombat Komputer was the toughest!

As I update, I'm currently listening to this awesome Acapella Christmas album. These five incredible singers call themselves Pentonix. Check out their CD "That's Christmas to Me". It's so good! I'm going to take this to work with me to listen to.

This is my second one. I sounded quite awkward in my debut--because I've never done anything like that before. It's why I did not embed the vid from my YouTube channel on here. It's still up on the channel though! I didn't remove it, and I don't intend to.

I'm just starting to get comfortable in recording myself talking, and I've edited and organized this better than the other. It helps when I write a list of topics I want to cover ahead of time. It prevents me from sounding like I don't know what the heck I'm doing, LOL. Apologies ahead of time on the length! I just had quite a bit to talk about, and it went over 10 minutes.

Topics Included: Proboards praise, Your Creative Release Forums, a bit on my forum, artist Luxliev (who goes by that name on NG), music update, mentioning the Chappie movie, my anticipation about remixing Darius Twin game tracks later, and a future podcast idea.
