Half Life tribute material?? Wow! I haven't watched the video yet though this is really good! Love the piano melody with that bass! So cool, techno-cinematicy...

LOL I'm in the middle of recording a podcast (and I couldn't wait until the end of this to say something about this track). I thought I'd record myself talking and catching up on fave artists online so I'll mention your video in the next part! 8D

LunyAlex responds:

Hey sorry for the late reply. I've been fairly on and off lately, need to get back in the game, haha. Thank you very much! Really appreciate it!

Quite a trip, this! Very atmospheric and indeed while listening I thought about the kind of music you'd hear on wildlife documentaries that cover exploration of the sea floor.

Really good! I liked this. Everything sounds very good, nothing out of place. Keep it up! :)

thank you ;0; <3

Awesoooooome! I love how tense and desolate the mood of this is... The strings are great along with the eerie pad. Just now I'm reminded of Supernatural season 7 in which the Winchester brothers have both been in Purgatory. In a terrible place where the Leviathans roam, it's mostly just isolated forest, apart from the very hostile Leviathans. I was thinking about that and this track here, for me, fits that!

I really can't think of anything to suggest. I was almost lost in listening to this. It's going to be featured in podcast #3. I decided to be BOLD and just record another one that I haven't planned ahead of time. So far so good! I'm recording myself talking and sharing who I catch up on NG and possibly SoundCloud too. Funnn.

Great stuff! <3

abrasounds responds:

Fox! Thanks again for this review. You're always willing to help and give your support, that's really awesome and I truly appreciate that.
Sadly I don't know what Supernatural part you're talking about 'cause I never reached season 7, but it's really cool that the song fits. Writing for videos and films is something I really enjoy.

And guess what? I'm responding to this while I listen to your podcast. :D It's full of good content, gonna follow this thing!

Thanks a lot!

Cool, very dance like! Electro dance. You're really good on this genre too. :) Everything is good. I can't pick apart any favorites because all of this is my favorite here. XD

AliceMako responds:

They're fun to make for the most part with the notable exception that once wrapped up and ready to go i might not feel it anymore and decide to shelf it.

Daaaaamn, this is a really dark one. There's definitely something demonic about this! I believed you achieved this audio-visually. Great! I especially liked how you did the beginning and end. :D

AliceMako responds:

Glad you like it, this was a lot of work.

That pad and those lead synths are what I like most about this one, aside from the beats you come up with of course. Drums are your expertise!

That's an interesting bass! It sounds like something from an old-school video game. :)

AliceMako responds:

I consider it more of a counter melody, it sounds retro cus it's a c64, for all intents and purposes the kick and the tail of the kick serve as the bassline in this.

Personally i don't think i'm so hot with drums, i'm good with samples and synths though :P

I love this one! Great job here, my friend. The bass, beats, and FX sound so good! It's got a really cool, dark groovy mood, and it's very enjoyable for a listen. :D Nice ending too.

AliceMako responds:

Inspired by my dealings with utterly dodgy people whom somehow manage to not only have a more stringent moral compass then myself but also rather colourful and intriguing justifications for their dubious lifestyle/career choices.

Very nice! Another fun listen. Great use of guitar, keyboard and beats! I love how you ended this too. Everything blends nicely.

Sometimes something you're not really planning on turns out pretty good. Other times it doesn't. Either way, it's a way to reset your ears and take a break from the tough project. :)

VideoGameManiac responds:

Thanks for the review :)
Yes working only on one song can be frustrating at times so I might just change something up abit and maybe create few songs at the same time, maybe something that doesnt fit in one song fits better on the other one? Anyway the sad part is I wont continue working on the other song cause of how good this one turned out for me xD

This sounds better than your first! Much better. This ought to be good, a rock and techno blend. I hope the rest turns out as good as what you've shared so far!

Bass guitar, hard hitting drums, FX, and synth--all of it flows really well.

This is a weird track--interesting, yet weird. It's just very unlike the rest of your music, and I wasn't sure what you were trying to go.

I'm honestly not fond of the sliding lead guitar melody. It sounds sort of off pitch to my liking. The rhythm guitar, bass, and drums are fine, though I think you need to reconfigure this whole thing. Find a better lead guitar one. Variations in guitars and drums overall would be good too.

It's an interesting thing, to try out a different genre. It's quite a challenge too! Keep at it, and try various things a little more. I am happy for you for trying though, because I love rock music! I wish the best of luck and enjoyment on the improvement. :)

I'm a writer and free thinker who is determined to help influence major good change to spread! Peace is only possible in the absence of aggression. (I also have done music stuff.)
