Aha, now this is a real slick, unique track. To me, it sounds like a genre fusion between Asian and Hip Hop. I've never heard anything like this before, ever, and you pulled it off well! And that high pitchy FX sounds like a cricket, which is interesting and neat. The rest of the rhythm, the FX beats, are real nice.

I can't think of anything to suggest. It's smooth and chill from start to finish, and it's well mixed. Cool, original experimentation! Keep it up Abra! As for genre classification, I'd go with Experimental. :)

Thanks a lot for the review, Fox!
That was the idea, I tried to mix these Asian instruments with this rhythm and feeling. I'm glad you liked it.

And yeah, you're right, so Experimental it is! :D

Not bad! Although, I think you can do better with this. I suggest maybe a bit more percussion and adding more stuff. I liked the fact that you attempted to do an 8-bit version from a film score from the Pirates of the Caribbean.

Looking forward to hearing more tracks from you, CM. :)

Sweet use of Windows Sounds. Like that beat you produced from them! Very, very cool.

K-Pone responds:

Thanks! Glad you like it.

Good funky melodies and solid blending, although I think you can do better with this track. In fact, I suggest you try a remix, or at least experiment to improve, with better instrument sounds. The bass is too quiet, and the guitar could sound better. :)

ChronoNomad responds:

Thanks for the feedback, SFJ! Yeah, there's so much more that I could have done with this track with more time and better samples, so it's definitely a candidate for future improvement or a remix makeover. Blast the epicness of my Skullcandy headphones, making the bass sound *too* good! At least I know now to use my speakers to figure out the best levels for bass going forward. Live and learn!

This wasn't what I was expecting for an Ambient track at all, but this sounds good for a debut. I like the lead synths and chimes especially.

I agree on the suggestions my friend Abrasounds gave you. There ought to be more added into this, with variations and more beats. Experiment and have fun with this. :)

Ahhhh!! Ta so much. Sorry to get back to you so late but thanks for the feedback (very busy working on other things as well^^) I'll upload a newer version soon (with some sexy sax grooves as well) The problem is that with synthesized sounds theres not much variety that can be made.. hmm if only i had a real sax player~

Wow... This is one amazing, dynamic clash of cinematics and rock! Ohhh, love the part at around 3:30! So much power to this track. As the rock music fan I am, I really like this!

This makes for fantastic battle music for a movie or game. :D

Excellent title, for I did find this impressionable, very much so. That was some awesome guitar playing going on! Wow, you're really, really good.

Liked how this started, as a build up to something wild and metal, with techno in the background. Everything sounds top notch and amazing! :D Great track.

First of all, I have to say I like your singing voice quite a bit. That's part of what caused me to add you into my favorites so fast after hearing just one song a while back (EnTrance)! There's this grit to your tone, and then you can command the tone to come out smoother. You have very a nice falsetto too.

I also find you on your own originality and uniqueness into this song. It's so cool on how you got that kazoo to sound like a saxophone! That's neat. I wouldn't have thought of such an idea myself, and I'm glad you did! That fit in great with all the other well played instruments.

There's an interesting sort of abstract to your lyrics. It's open to interpretation on who the words are addressed to.

You have to finish this! Seriously! Not only is it greatly badass for a boss battle, but for a scene in which there's a scary guy or monster that's chasing someone. For me it gave me the feeling that there's someone who's literally running for his or her life. I really like the intro and how wild the strings and brass are. :D

There's so much energy and intensity into this cinematic track. It's really great so far, and I know you can do more here!

SoundChris responds:

Thanks a lot! I will continue working on it. The situation this has been composed for was a troll boss battle. People are running away and cry. The village is on fire and you face the troll, a giant creature with a huge club who just in this moment crushes a house, turns to you and attacks. He is huge, raw and brutal, but a little bit unwieldy so i decided to go for percussion and brass. directly after that scene you face the real villiant of the game who is a allmighty dark wizard that rules over all the elements. Its like you encounter death in person. You can hear what came out in my track "Cale Unleashed" which is more zimmer like with a focus on aleatoric orchestral effects and a horror athmosphere.

Thanks for leaving your thoughts here ;D

Cool! This has got to be among your best stuff. You did really good here. Everything blended so nicely. I like this down tempo mood as a whole. Well mixed, and everything.

So far I think I like this one the most, out of what I've heard. :)

LexRodent responds:

I'm glad you like it that much.
After publishing this one, and applying the reviewers advice, it changed a lot.
I took me some (more like a lot) trials until I liked the results, Its good to see such a payoff.
