Optimus Prime from the first Michael Bay Transformers movie. Interesting intro, but again, careful with the use of movie quote samples. (I hope this doesn't get deleted.) That bass and those drops are awesome. That snare beat is really nice too.

Too short though! You should add more to this. More variety and instruments should make this mix soar!

GamerCropy responds:

Thx

Freakin' amazing! Those drops!!! Wow! Also, that high pitched synth was neat to listen to. It's pretty. Like here's the pretty part and then comes the dark sick stuff.

One of your best, no doubt. :)

GamerCropy responds:

Muchas gracias ( thanks )

This is clearly better than MY first Trap attempt, ahahaha! But let's not give up on this genre, all right? It's a lot of fun!

There is something out of place with the lead strings towards the end. Other than that, this mix is really impressive! Love the vocal, most of the strings, and brass. Very cool, Panda. It just needs a bit of improvement. :)

Pandasticality responds:

alright :3 il work harder next time, thank you for the review.

XD Awesome! Surprisingly you made this classic song sound pretty good in 8-Bit. I love the groovy vibe you got going in this track. I dig your retro gamer style. I say this, for I am also a retro gamer. :)

This is just a fun listen. You did really good here.

I smiled as I listened to this. It's neat, and jazzy. It would make for some awesome video game soundtrack material. You're quite good when it comes to jazz music. :D

SoundChris responds:

Thanks you good sir! Glad you enjoyed the track :)

Beautiful! Yeah, it's short. A bit too short, actually. I was hoping to hear more of that really pretty piano with atmospheric sound. Is the opening sequence of the visual novel this short?

I think you should do a more "full version" of this, just for the fun of it. That's what I would do, just to feel really satisfied with a sense of accomplishment.

I know what you mean by perfectionism! I am like that with most of any creativity I do, most especially when it's a huge project. It's both good and bad (though for the most part, good). :)

Step responds:

Its length is just so disappointing isn't it, haha. I think it's a nice little idea that can possibly be expanded on, but I have a ton of more pressing music projects to attend to right now, so I'll have to put it on the backseat if I ever give it a shot.

The opening sequence for the visual novel is indeed very short, since it's just a few abstract lines of script that show up on the screen on a black background before the first scene kicks in.

I am almost OBSESSIVE about perfectionism sometimes. You should see my project files. Everything is colour-coded and organised. It takes me a lot more time than it's worth, but ah well, that's the life of a perfectionist. c:

Glad you enjoyed this!

I agree with Johnfn on the drums there. They just don't fit enough with the rest here. A bit too soft. I believe a little umph, the slightest amount, would make a difference, and make this as whole better.

Aside from that, this is really good! Wow, a cinematic with a touch of techno... It works great!

As I was listening, I found this suspenseful, and a little mysterious. I love the techno synth that goes with the piano a lot. That's really cool! The marimba notes and strings are also really, really nice. The rest of the instruments just blend together so well here.

Step responds:

Yeahhh, those drums. I don't think they're BAD personally, but I do think they really aren't anything special.

Got to say, I totally appreciate all these reviews you're throwing my way. I really enjoy reading them! Thanks a million.

So spooky cool. That soft pulsing bass and sweepy FX are what I like most about this one. I think you could probably make this a bit bigger. It'll perk the listener's interest just a touch more. :)

AliceMako responds:

Bigger as in longer? Full tracks and newgrounds don't mix in my experience.

Thanks for listening.

Really cool tribute to the Black Butler anime/manga. I've gotten to see some of the anime, and I kind of liked it.

Wow, that pulsing bass and those beats, in particular. There's a really cool vibe to this track. :)

AliceMako responds:

An aquaintance dared me to sit through that show and while admittedly cringeworthy i managed and found myself enjoying it a lot inspite of the absolutely deplorable subtext it showcases. ( perhaps it wasn't much of a challenge to begin with since i'm game for anything with an occult theme )

My only aesthetic criticisms would be that that the blonde in the second season did not get enough screen time which seems like a missed opportunity since he clearly had the better wardrobe and the ending of the first season was a lot more satisfying then the actual finale.

Whoa, trippy! Those are some crazy good synths. Sweet buildups, and that soft wobbly bass is cool too. Though I think it's a bit too repetitive in some places. Variations of the melody could make this track even better.

AliceMako responds:

I prefer single notes and arpeggios, i'm terrible at writing melodies and they only distract from the overall beauty of a given synth patch anyway.

I'm a writer and free thinker who is determined to help influence major good change to spread! Peace is only possible in the absence of aggression. (I also have done music stuff.)
