Cool! This has got to be among your best stuff. You did really good here. Everything blended so nicely. I like this down tempo mood as a whole. Well mixed, and everything.

So far I think I like this one the most, out of what I've heard. :)

LexRodent responds:

I'm glad you like it that much.
After publishing this one, and applying the reviewers advice, it changed a lot.
I took me some (more like a lot) trials until I liked the results, Its good to see such a payoff.

Haunting and ominous! Fitting, since it's October, with Halloween on the way. The drums along to the organ-like synths and piano--it's all awesome! Though, there should be more. The tempo ought to pick up some, and there should be some extra effects to make this whole thing more expressive.

Keep up the good music makin', LexaHergon! :)

LexRodent responds:

Thanks dudette.
Voices were meant to blend with the music filling the spaces, but I had to modify this piece so it didn't break the NG rules.

Oh, this is like some dark lullaby. Very nice! Those are some sweet and complex bell and chime melodies. A little more variety would be nice--an additional instrument to fit onto it, and yes, dynamics. Soft strings in the background would make this even better. :)

LexRodent responds:

Good advice, background instruments work well most of the time.
This piece and "In Between" have some dynamics already, I guess I was too conservative, and its hard to notice, time to run more tests on this. Thanks for your feedback.

Daaaaang, the bar rises so high. Excellent track! There's all sorts of FX and instruments here and it altogether it was really, really good. I think this would be a great score to an animated Sci-Fi movie! This is quite the musical journey, and the word epic doesn't *begin* to cover it.

I'd have to agree with Metal Renard on one thing; there should have been more guitar! That sort of came out of the blue for me but it was a good surprise. Yes, I am a fan of your stuff now. :)

SoundChris responds:

Thanks a lot! We had a clear storyline here and it was very enjoyable to imagine what could happen on screen while the music and effects accompany the pictures. I guess its not a surprise that we both are big cinematic fans and perhaps have seen too many movies in our lives :D Glad you enjoyed our track and thanks so much for leaving your thoughts here. Highly appreciated!

All the best,
Chris

Wow, this is cool. Great jazzy vibes this has. You're really talented on the piano. Crazy good.

This is unlike any Zelda remix I've ever heard, and it's really unique! You did a great job with this. I'm curious to check out your other tracks too. :)

SoundChris responds:

Thanks a lot SilverFoxJams! Glad you enjoyed my little piano action here :D

This ROCKS. For a Kirby remix, the track is epic beyond words! Loved the guitars and orchestra blends.

Damn, I'd get back into the old school Kirby with music like this! The older Kirby games are all I've played and enjoyed when I was a kid.

InYourDreams responds:

Wow thanks man! This means a lot :D... I glad you like it!

Very nicely played arrangement. Very energetic for an easy listening piece, but I still liked it. This was both mellow and chipper at once. :)

ChronoNomad responds:

Thanks, SilverFoxJams! Very kind of you to say, and I'm glad to hear that the kind of Jazzy Rock vibe comes across so well. Loving the feedback. :D

This is a groovy, jazzy good time! The quality is so clean and top notch. Nice touch with the chimes and the birds!

I miss playing Donkey Kong Country. Good times! I don't remember if I have this classic title or not. Sometime I'll have to look and dust off my SNES.

Do you intend to do a remix on the underwater theme next? :D I think that's my most favorite track out of all the other DKC tunes.

Step responds:

I'm glad you noticed the birds! The original had animal effects and I thought it would be cool to add some in here too.

I've not played Donkey Kong Country. Only DK game I played was Country Returns. I want to give Tropical Freeze a try though!

I haven't heard the underwater theme before. Just heard it now, it sounds lovely. I don't think I'll arrange it though, partially because I don't know how much time I have for that and partially because I suck at making atmospheric stuff.

Thanks for YET ANOTHER review. u da best.

O! M! G! This is so beautiful. I love this so, so much. You did some great justice in a remix tribute to the original. Wow! The rain, the instrument arrangements, and the female vocals... Great creativity and effort. A huge storm of it at that!

This is no doubt one of your best stuff, a masterpiece.

Step responds:

Damn, that means a lot! Fun fact about the female vocals - they originally weren't there. Then, as a joke, one of the album members who heard my track took it and made this hilarious rendition called Song of Shitstorms, where he grabbed this track, and threw in loads of his own awful-sounding instruments, video game FX, and a section where he sang in falsetto at pretty much soprano pitch. It was for April Fool's and I was in fits, so I added the female vocals where he sang in falsetto as a tribute :3.

Thanks for another review!

Epic cinematics! Incredible. Everything about this track is GREAT. I can't think of any suggestions since this is as good as it gets, so I'll just enjoy listening. :D

Step responds:

Thanks! I kind of feel like this track is getting overlooked a little since it's personally my favourite from the three album tracks I was involved in, and it didn't get any reviews on Newgrounds or mentions anywhere else :(. Because of that, I really appreciate this review haha.

Thanks again, glad you like it.
